Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, the three constitutional body types in Ayurveda, each have potentially challenging times of day and seasons.

During the fall change of the season, Vata can be aggravated by the wind and dry desert. Pitta is bothered by the brilliance of the sun and the intense summer heat. Cold winters are challenging to Kapha and Vata.

Oil therapies are very soothing to the skin, our protective barrier against the desert elements, and oils are relaxing for the nervous system as well.
